Position: Cart Attendant I

Salary: $7.59 an hour - part-time/seasonal

The Sevierville Golf Club is now accepting applications and/or resumes for the position of Cart Attendant I. The essential function of the position is to:
• Prepare golf carts for rental by checking them for the following: brakes, tires, steering, forward and reserve switch, any unusual noises and any damage to body, and clean carts thoroughly.
• Loading golf bags during tee times, stage carts beside putting green and two carts at bag drop for guest use.
• Greet customers and tell them about the course and answer any questions they may have.
• When necessary, assign cart numbers, take up tickets, check to insure that each receipt ticket is correct for the number of players and number of holes paid and put players in their starting order.
• At the end of the day, thoroughly clean carts, cart barn and bag storage.

Mostly days and weekends required.

Position:          Mechanic II, part-time, Non-Exempt
Dept:  Fleet Maintenance
Salary: $12.00 an hour; 24 hours per week              

The Sevierville Fleet Maintenance is now accepting applications and/or resumes for the position of Mechanic II.  The essential function of the position within the organization is performs diagnostics and make repairs on vehicles and equipment, performs scheduled maintenance on vehicles and equipment, responds to calls for assistance from disabled off-site vehicles, and participates in cleaning and maintenance of Fleet Services area. 

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and the equivalent of 1 year of college (certified Vocational training in lieu of college).  Requires formal training as defined: minimum 5 years of employment in a Fleet Service center, a motor vehicle (car or truck) dealership for repairs of vehicle and/or professional automotive work environment.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, serving beer, making sure all patrons have proper I.D. for beer consumption, informing patrons of current chef specialty items, as well as answering any questions the patrons have about the menu. Also, this position will be taking orders and serving food & beverages, making sure tables are set properly before guests arrive, maintaining overall cleanliness of dining room and service areas, and above all, service with a smile every time.

This position requires applicants to be available to work 7 days a week, to be able to be on their feet for extended periods of time, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Winter restaurant hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to, cooking items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously; measuring ingredients required for specific food items being prepared; operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles; preparing specialty food following specific methods that usually require short preparation time; reading food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and prepare and cook food according to instructions; verifying that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity; washing, cutting and preparing foods designated for cooking; cleaning, stocking and restocking workstations and display cases; ordering and taking delivery of supplies.

This position requires applicants to be available to work 7 days a week, to be able to be on their feet for extended periods of time, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Winter restaurant hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Provides requested service, such as ringing up sales for activities,

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training is preferred. Must have a flexible schedule/nights and weekends. Work experience is preferred.

Every prospective employee, as part of the conditional offer of employment, shall undergo a criminal background check and a driving record background check, conducted by the City of Sevierville Police Department. Insurance, Retirement, And Benefits

The City of Sevierville offers a benefits package to their full time employees. These benefits include paid medical and dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, and paid holidays. Upon hiring, city employees are automatically enrolled in the TN Consolidated Retirement System, which contributes 5% of an employee’s pre-tax dollars from each pay period into a retirement fund. Vacation leave is earned at a rate based on length of service. Sick leave is earned at 1 day per month.
