SPD receives community outreach grant

The Sevierville Police Department received a $950.00 community outreach grant earlier this year from the Sevier County Health Improvement Council. The SPD Community Resource Unit used the grant funds to purchase mental health crisis resource cards and pop-it bracelets.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane closure on Court Avenue February 14

Contractors will be installing a sewer line tie-in on Court Avenue tomorrow, February 14, that will require a lane closure. The work had previously been scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, however weather conditions did not allow the project to be completed at that time. One travel lane will be closed on Court Avenue at Commerce Street beginning at 4:00 a.m. Weather and other conditions permitting, the work will be completed by 12:00 p.m. the same day. Traffic will be maintained, however motorists should expect delays, especially during high traffic periods and be aware of changing traffic patterns, workers and equipment in the area.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Closure planned on West Bruce Street Beginning February 5

The City of Sevierville Public Works Department will be making repairs to the crosswalk on West Bruce Street near the Sevier County Courthouse and Sevier County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) beginning Monday, February 5. Weather and other conditions permitting, the project will be completed and the street reopened by 7:00 a.m. Monday, February 12.

Two upcoming projects will necessitate the temporary closure of Court Avenue between Main Street and Bruce Street, Monday, January 29-Saturday, February 3, 2024.

Downtown Crosswalk Repairs on Bruce Street Continue

Crosswalk repairs in downtown Sevierville at the gazebo crosswalk on Bruce Street are ongoing. Due to delays caused by inclement weather, the projected completion date of this project has been extended to 8:00 a.m. Monday, January 29.
