Due to persistent snow and patches of ice on both 18-hole golf courses, the Sevierville Golf Club courses will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 24. City primary and secondary roads are mostly dry and in good condition. Public Works crews worked throughout the night and early morning treating and scraping, and will continue this morning. The potential for patches of black ice persists. Motorists should remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution. With temperatures around zero this morning, extra preparation and care is advised before traveling.

Crosswalk repairs at three locations in downtown Sevierville will begin on January 22 at the gazebo crosswalk on Bruce Street. Repair of the gazebo crosswalk will require the closure of the eastbound traffic lane (at Court Avenue and the Parkway, see attached traffic detour map), and detour of westbound traffic through the City parking lot, from January 22 until about January 27.

Primary roads in the City are largely clear and drying, with some wet spots remaining. Secondary roads and local streets are largely clear but may still have snow and ice patches. The majority of City streets have been plowed and treated, and crews continue working on this task.

Due to extremely cold weather conditions and potentially hazardous early morning travel, City of Sevierville government offices and buildings will delay opening until 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, Wednesday, January 17. This includes City Hall, Police Records, the Sevierville Community Center and Civic Center.
The Sevierville Golf Club clubhouse and Mulligan’s Restaurant will be open; a decision will be made tomorrow morning regarding the golf courses.
Regular Tuesday garbage collection service that was not completed today will be collected tomorrow, as will regular Wednesday collection.

Due to extremely hazardous road conditions caused by ice and snow, all City of Sevierville government buildings and offices will be closed today, Tuesday, January 16, 2024. All non-emergency services will be suspended as well. The Sevierville Police Department will be responding to emergency service calls only. Sevierville City Court has been cancelled.

City roads are a mixed bag this morning. Although Public Works crews were out overnight and are still treating and scraping this morning, many roads have ice and snow.

Due to the inclement weather forecast and safety concerns, Sevierville City Hall will be on a two hour delay and open at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16.
