Police Search for Assault Suspect

Sevierville Police Department officers responded to a reported assault late last night, Thursday, March 8, 2018. The assault occurred at the Pilot station located at 1257 Parkway. Police were notified at approximately 11:20PM.
According to SPD Detective Sergeant Ray Brown, a male suspect allegedly struck a 67-year old woman in the head with a plastic toy gun as she was walking from her vehicle to the Pilot store, and then fled the area in a silver Toyota 4Runner SUV. The victim was transported to LeConte Medical Center with what appeared to be a non-life threatening head injury. Nothing was apparently stolen from the victim
The suspect is described as a slender male wearing a maroon or red hoody, camo pants, and red/white shoes.
