Police Investigate Shooting

Sevierville Police Department detectives are investigating a reported shooting that apparently occurred on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

 

Officers responded to LeConte Medical Center at approximately 11:20PM after being notified of a man being treated there for a gunshot wound. The victim stated that at about 10:00PM, he was sitting at the corner of Candy Tuft Drive and Ridge Road when he heard what sounded like several gunshots, after which he realized he had been shot. Witnesses in the area also reported what sounded like gunshots. The victim told officers that the gunshots may have come from a silver two-door sedan.

The gunshot wound was not life threatening and the victim was treated and released from the hospital.

Detectives are asking that anyone with information regarding this incident call Detective Milliron at 865-868-1747. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, no additional information will be released at this time.
