The City of Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation will conduct a brief ceremony to thank the individuals and companies that made donations to construction of the Mt. Ton of Fun inclusive playground.

The ceremony, which will include a photo session, will be held at the playground at City Park at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 6.

The inclusive playground project was a vision of a Leadership Tomorrow class. Class member Lisa Bremer formed Project Sevier to raise money and work in cooperation with the City to make the playground a reality. The playground opened in July 2017.

The source of all financial donations will be listed on several plaques that will be installed on the side of the covered bridge as you enter the playground. The three largest donors were, in alphabetical order: Charles Blalock’s & Sons, City of Sevierville and Vulcan Materials.
