Fire Department Offers CPR/AED Class December 9

Posted 11-27-17

The Sevierville Fire Department (SFD) is offering citizens an opportunity to become certified in CPR/AED and also learn some fire safety tips from the pros.

The SFD has scheduled a classroom-based CPR/AED course open to the community on Saturday, December 9 from 8:30AM-12:30PM at Fire Station 1 (main downtown station), 122 Prince Street.

The class fee is $22.00/person (checks payable to the City of Sevierville), which includes all class materials and a certificate.

In this classroom-based course, participants will learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Increasing public awareness of the importance of early intervention and ensuring greater public access to defibrillation will save many lives. Educating providers, caregivers, and the general public on how to respond to these emergencies.
