Two Persons Arrested for Multiple Burglaries

Sevierville Police Department officers have arrested two persons suspected of committing several residential burglaries and attempted burglaries over the past week. Cynthia Annette Zegilla, 32-years old and Francis Leonard Zegilla, 52-years old, both from Kingsport, TN were arrested yesterday, Thursday, September 26, 2019.

 

Several burglaries and attempted burglaries have been reported over the past week. A vehicle description was developed from home video near one of the burglary locations. Officers and investigators were at one burglary location yesterday when another burglary that had just occurred was reported wherein the victim gave a similar suspect vehicle description. Officers responded and were able to locate the suspect vehicle and discovered items reported stolen in the vehicle. Items from several residential burglaries were subsequently identified.

Cynthia Zegilla was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of attempted burglary and two counts of theft of property. Francis Zegilla was charged with one count of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.

The investigation is ongoing. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
