Sevierville Community Center Closes Indefinitely

Posted 03-13-20.

In an effort to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus, the City of Sevierville is closing the Sevierville Community Center effective tomorrow, Saturday, March 14. The closing follows the announcement by the Sevier County School System that county schools will be closed beginning Monday, March 16.

“Out of an abundance of caution and after much consideration, the Community Center will be closed for the time being,” said Sevierville City Administrator Russell Treadway. “Keeping the center open would place our community and City employees at unnecessary risk of exposure.”

With the closing of the Community Center, the children’s programs will also be suspended until further notice.

No other City facilities are being closed at this time and all City services are continuing. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of conducting business and communicating with the City online. The following services are available through the City website, www.seviervilletn.org:
• Utility bill payments
• Report a problem
• Development plans submittal
• Public notices and information.
The City maintains multiple Facebook pages and a Twitter page, which are listed on the website. Residents can also call City Hall for assistance at 865-453-5504. Phone numbers for all City departments are available on the website.
