Fire Department Offers CPR/AED, First Aid and Stop the Bleed Class 11-14-20

The Sevierville Fire Department is offering a CPR/AED, First Aid and Stop the Bleed class on Saturday, November 14 at the Headquarters Station, 1162 Dolly Parton Parkway.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the class will be limited to ten persons, social distancing will be practiced, and participants will be required to wear face mask coverings (one will be provided if needed). The class is subject to cancellation if deemed necessary due to changing COVID-19 pandemic conditions.

The class is open to the public and will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. The class fee is $10.00/person (checks payable to the City of Sevierville), which includes all class materials and a certificate.

To ensure a spot please pay in advance; call 865-453-9276 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) to register/prepay.

The SFD will have CPR pocket mask/barrier devices available for an additional $10.00 (highly recommended).

In this classroom-based course, participants will learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, administer basic first aid, and how they can control severe bleeding to save themselves and others.

The SFD offers this class to educate providers, caregivers, and the general public on how to respond to certain emergencies. Additionally, increasing public awareness of the importance of early intervention.
