One person was injured in a shooting early this morning, Sunday, September 19, 2021. At approximately 12:22 a.m., Sevierville Police Department officers responded to a shooting call at the Bluffs, 1548 Parkway. It was reported that there was a confrontation in the parking lot prior to the shooting.

A short time later, a Sevier County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a vehicle on Interstate 40 with occupants that were reportedly involved in the shooting. One person was subsequently arrested from the vehicle, 30-year old Damian Hamblin from Morristown, TN. Mr. Hamblin was charged with reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, and simple possession of marijuana.

Authorities are searching for two additional persons believed to have been involved in the incident, one of whom is the suspected shooter.
