City of Sevierville Celebrates Court Complex Improvements and Announces New Lighted Pickleball Courts

Posted 07-11-22.

On Monday, July 18 at 4:30 p.m., the City of Sevierville will celebrate the recently completed improvements to the existing courts at City Park, which totaled $140,000.00. The improvements included replacement of the 30-year old lighting system, resurfacing the existing courts, replacing nets and windscreens, new pickleball semi-permanent nets, and new court cleaning equipment. The redesigned courts consist of four dedicated tennis courts on one side of the complex, and a series of combination tennis (four) and pickleball (eight) courts on the other side.

At the celebration event, the City will announce plans for construction of a new $275,000.00 pickleball complex at City Park that will include four new dedicated, lighted pickleball courts, and shaded space for spectators at scheduled events.

All tennis and pickleball courts will be ADA accessible.

The event will commence with door prizes for those in attendance and a pickleball demonstration at 5:00 p.m.
