Fire Department Participates in Get Alarmed TN Program

Posted 11-09-17.

The Sevierville Fire Department will be in the Love Addition neighborhood this Saturday, November 11, 2017 to promote smoke alarm awareness.

As part of the Get Alarmed TN program, beginning at approximately 9:30AM firefighters will be going door to door throughout the Love Addition neighborhood offering to check existing smoke alarms and install new alarms, all at no cost to residents.

“Properly located and functioning smoke alarms are essential to home fire safety,” said SFD Chief Matt Henderson. “We urge the residents of the Love Addition neighborhood to take advantage of this free program.”

Love Addition is located off of North Parkway and consists of residences on Nichols Street, Sunnyside Avenue, Sevier Street, Jackson Street and King Street. (See attached map taken from Google Maps.)

The SFD will perform these services for all City residents upon request. Free smoke alarms will be installed as long as supplies last.

Additional information on the Get Alarmed TN program is available online at www.tn.gov.
