New Fire Department Headquarters Groundbreaking

Posted 11-09-17.

The City of Sevierville Fire Department would like to invite all residents to the new Fire Department headquarters groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, November 20 @ 2:00PM. The building will be located at 1162 Dolly Parton Parkway, the former site of the Sevierville Water Treatment Plant.

New Headquarters Information

The new headquarters will provide 24-hour staffing of six firefighters, one engine and an array of technical rescue equipment. The estimated cost of the 17,000 square foot facility is $6.5 million. Construction is expected to take 12-14 months.

The station’s primary response area will be east Sevierville into downtown, and it will provide a significant reduction in response times for east Sevierville.

The headquarters will be home to all Fire Department administrative staff and include a training classroom. Also, a museum will be located in the lobby area to house Sevierville’s first fire engine and other historical SFD items.

You can watch the current condition of the construction process as well as a time-lapse view from beginning until now on the Work-Zone cam.
