Temporary Closure of Section of West Prong Greenway

The City of Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation will be closing a large portion of the West Prong Greenway, from River Bend Gardens condominiums on the West Side of the West Prong River to the end of the current greenway.

The closure is necessary to allow safe and efficient installation of new LED lighting. Due to safety concerns, no usage of this portion of the greenway will be permitted until an official announcement is made that the project is complete.

This temporary closure will begin Monday, December 19, 2016 and will continue until the project is completed. The project will likely take several months to complete due to the number of new lights and winter weather considerations. When the project nears completion an estimated reopening date will be announced.
