The City of Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation has announced that due to a; “not so favorable weather forecast,” the Ribbon Cutting Scheduled for today at 4:30pm has been postponed to a later date.

In Fiscal Year 2022 (ending June 30, 2022) the City spend $140,000 on court repairs which included new lights, new windscreens, resurfacing the courts and equipment to clean the courts moving forward. In Fiscal Year 2023 the City has budgeted $275,000 dollars for the construction of four dedicated pickleball courts at City Park adjacent to the existing courts. When completed, the Court Complex will provide top level courts for both tennis and pickleball users.

The courts last received new fencing, new asphalt and leveling with new color resurfacing in 2013, which led to recognition as the USTA’s Most improved Public Courts in America Award.
