TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Work Planned at Gists Creek Road/Reed Schoolhouse Road Intersection (2)

Contractors working for the Sevierville Water and Sewer Department will be installing a force main that will affect traffic at the intersection of Gists Creek Road and Reed Schoolhouse Road. Work will be conducted Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The project is scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 21. Weather and other conditions permitting, the project will be completed by Tuesday, June 27. Short term traffic delays are possible while work is ongoing. Motorists should watch for workers, equipment, and changing traffic patterns in this area.

City of Sevierville Reminds Residents and Visitors That Shooting Fireworks Is Prohibited

With the Fourth of July holiday approaching, the City of Sevierville would like to remind residents and visitors that shooting fireworks without a permit is prohibited within the City limits. This ordinance is in effect throughout the year.
Sevierville Fire Chief Matt Henderson and Police Chief Joe Manning say that while they want residents and visitors to enjoy the holiday, they hope it will be celebrated in a safe manner. They note that fireworks are banned in the City because of the potential dangers of personal injury and fires.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Traffic Signal Work Scheduled This Week on Highway 66

The Sevierville Public Works Department will be replacing traffic signal heads this week at several Highway 66 intersections. The work will take place from 9:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. beginning this evening, Monday, June 12. Weather and other conditions permitting, the work will be completed by 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning, June 15.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: TDOT Schedules Resurfacing on Dolly Parton Parkway During Overnight Hours

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced road work on Dolly Parton Parkway (SR 35/US 411) beginning Tuesday, June 6. Motorists should expect delays during heavy traffic periods and be alert for changing traffic patterns.
