Eastern European Police Chaplains and staff to meet with local law enforcement agencies

A group of six Eastern European police chaplains and staff are scheduled to meet with local law enforcement agencies on Tuesday, April 2. The group consists of the National Chief of the Patrol Police of the Republic of Moldova, Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police of Moldova, Chief of the Presidential Escort, Police Chaplain from Moldova, and Chief Chaplain of the Chaplain Patrol organization in Ukraine. A Chaplain from Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department will also be attending as a translator.

The main purpose of the visit is to provide the group with information about police chaplaincy programs in the United States. Tours of local agency facilities will also take place.

The group will visit the following agencies in Sevier County:
• Sevierville Police Department
• Sevier County Sheriff’s Office
• Pigeon Forge Police Department
• Gatlinburg Police Department.
