Sevierville Hires New Water and Sewer Director

The City of Sevierville has hired a new Water and Sewer Director who will begin work on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

Keith Malone, from Seneca, South Carolina has been chosen to lead the department. Before joining the City, he was the Public Works Director for the town of Pendleton, South Carolina. He also served as the Operations Superintendent for the Millcreek Township Water Authority in Erie, Pennsylvania.

 

“We’re very excited to have Keith join us as the new Water and Sewer Director,” said Sevierville City Administrator Russell Treadway. “I’m confident that his experience and leadership skills will prove valuable in managing this vital utility. We had a number of qualified candidates to choose from and Keith is clearly the best fit for both the City and our community.”

Mr. Malone attended Penn State University and Purdue University, where he obtained his MBA and BS in Industrial Technology degrees, respectively.

“It is an honor and privilege to be joining the City of Sevierville team,” Keith Malone said. “I look forward to getting to know the people, area, and systems that serve the residents and visitors of Sevierville. I am excited for this opportunity to bring my knowledge and experience in technology and system design to use in a growing and dynamic region. “

Mr. Malone will be replacing the current director, Steve Flynn, who will now be overseeing the expansion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and other Water Systems-related projects as the Water and Sewer Construction Manager.
