Old Mt. Ton of Fun Playground Fence Pickets Available

When the old Mt. Ton of Fun playground at Sevierville City Park was in the planning stages in the late 1990's, over 600 residents pledged donations towards construction. To thank these residents, fence pickets were placed around the playground with donor names.

A new all-inclusive playground is being built at the same location, so the old playground has been removed. Parks and Recreation staff have saved the donor fence pickets and are storing them at the Community Center. (See attached picket storage photo.) Donors may pick-up their picket at the Community Center from January 10-February 3, 2017. Residents MUST call 865-453-5441 in advance so that staff will be able to retrieve their picket.

The Parks and Recreation Department plans to place a plaque exhibiting the names of Mt. Ton of Fun donors at the new playground. Details will be announced in the near future.
