TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Short-Term Closures of Highway 66 Planned for New Traffic Signal Placement
Posted 03-03-23.
The City of Sevierville is issuing a traffic advisory for two short-term closures of Highway 66 (Winfield Dunn Parkway) in north Sevierville next week. The closures will occur on Highway 66 at the intersection with the future Gateway Boulevard, which will become the main entrance/exit for “The 407: Gateway to Adventure” development currently under construction.
Traffic signal mast arms will be placed over both the northbound and southbound lanes. Each placement will require a complete closure of one side of the highway for approximately 8-10 minutes. The two separate closures will occur between 9:00 p.m. March 9 and 2:00 a.m. March 10.
During this period, motorists should be prepared for a possible short term delay. Motorists may wish to follow the Sevierville Police Department Twitter account, @SeviervillePD, which provides useful traffic information.
