Police Urge Parents and Pet Owners to be Cognizant of Dangers of Hot Vehicle Interiors

The Sevierville Police Department (SPD) is urging parents and pet owners to be cognizant of the potential danger of leaving their children or pets in vehicles during warm weather. Just a few minutes inside a car during the summer can become deadly. When the outside air temperature is just 85 degrees, vehicle interior temperatures can reach over 100 degrees in only ten minutes or less.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Street Closures for Bloomin’ BBQ Music & Food Festival

The annual City of Sevierville Bloomin’ BBQ Music & Food Festival will take place in the downtown area on May 19 and 20. To facilitate the event, several streets must be temporarily closed, and the Sevier County Courthouse will be closed on Friday, May 19.

Sevierville Police Department Hosts Peace Officers Memorial Day Service

On Monday, May 15, the Sevierville Police Department invites everyone to attend the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day service at 11:00 a.m. The service will take place at the front of the Police Department, 300 Gary Wade Boulevard. (In the event of poor weather, the service will be held inside the Sevierville Civic Center at the Municipal Complex, 120 Gary Wade Boulevard.)

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Closure of Section of Bruce Street

A traffic advisory is being issued for the temporary closure of a section of Bruce Street on Saturday, May 6. Bruce Street, between Court Avenue and the Parkway, will be closed to all traffic from 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
The closure is necessary to facilitate the Bruce Street Brewfest special event.

Sevierville Police Department Schedules 2023 Kids Police Camp

The annual Sevierville Police Department Kids Police Camp has been scheduled for Monday, June 12 - Friday, June 16. The camp will take place daily from 8:00AM - 4:00PM. A mandatory parent/participant orientation will be held at the Sevierville Police Department at 6:00 p.m. on Friday June 9.
