Ribbon Cutting for New Pickleball Courts at Sevierville City Park

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the four new pickleball courts located at Sevierville City Park has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 19 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Sevierville Mayor Robbie Fox will provide comments. Door prices and finger food will be available. At the conclusion of the event, the new courts will be open for use.

Construction on the new courts began in November 2022. With the opening of the new courts, there will be twelve outdoor pickleball courts (four dedicated for pickleball only, and eight combination pickleball/tennis courts) at City Park. There are also four dedicated courts for tennis only.

In 2022, the City resurfaced all eight courts at City Park and installed new lights. In the current fiscal year, the City will spend $275,000.00 dollars on the new dedicated pickleball courts. Over the past two years, $415,000.00 dollars has been budgeted for court improvements and new courts at City Park. With the conclusion of the construction of the new pickleball courts, all proposed improvements to the court complex will be completed.
