The Resurfacing of the Pickleball/Tennis Courts at City Park were completed on Thursday June 23, 2022. However, to maintain the manufacturer’s warranty, the courts must cure for a total of (5) five days without any play.

During these five curing days; City Parks and Recreation Staff will be re-installing seating, nets, hitting board and windscreens.

Lights for the Pickleball Courts are scheduled to be readjusted soon, so playing during dark hours may be limited somewhat until these lights can be adjusted. This will be completed as soon as possible.

There will be an Official Ribbon Cutting celebrating the completion of these major court improvements on Monday July 18th at 4:30pm. Door prices for both tennis and pickleball players will be given away and a pickleball demonstration will begin at 5pm. The City will also announce exciting upcoming improvements scheduled for the overall court complex on July 18th….stay tuned for more details coming soon.

The City of Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation has announced that it has extended the hours for lighting the tennis/pickleball courts at City Park, allowing more time for play in the morning and evening hours.

The City installed new lights with LED technology provided by MUSCO Sports Lighting in the Fall of 2021. This modern technology provides improved lighting, longer bulb life, lower electricity costs and more efficient programming.

Effective immediately, the lights for the tennis/pickleball courts will be on each morning from 6:00 a.m. until sunrise and will come back on each evening from sunset until 10:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: the tennis/pickleball courts at City Park will be closed on or around June 1, 2022, for repairs. The repairs will take two-four weeks to complete, depending upon weather and other conditions.

New Shade/Picnic Structure Completed at City Park

What: New Shade/Picnic Structure Completed at City Park

When: Available for reservations beginning February 19

A new shade/picnic structure has been completed at City Park and will be available for reservations beginning February 19. The structure is located between the Family Aquatic Center and Field #5 and adjoins the Mt. Tun of Fun Playground.

The new structure increases the number of covered areas available for groups at the park to three. There are currently two traditional picnic shelters at the park located near the river.

The new shade/picnic structure has three-24’ x 20’ (480 square feet) sections that can be reserved individually or in combination. The fee to use one section is $15.00/hour. Each section includes three picnic tables, one of which is ADA compliant.

New Meeting Space Available at Community Center

New Meeting Space Available at Community Center

The Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department announces a new meeting room is now available to rent at the Sevierville Community Center. The room became available after some program reorganization.

The meeting room is located in the lobby area and has an occupancy limit of 40 persons. The rental fee ranges from $12.00-$15.00 per hour and is available during regular community center operating hours (Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m.; Saturday 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.)
