Historic Zoning Commission

The role of the Historic Zoning Commission (HZC) is to review plans for projects located within the Downtown Commercial Historic Overlay (DHO). Meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday of the month, as needed. The Downtown Commercial Historic Overlay (DHO) map can be used to verify locations that require approval from the HZC.   DHO Map.

Special Event Permit Application

In order to apply for a Special Event Permit, customers should visit www.mygovernmentonline.org. If you need help setting up an account, please call 1-866-957-3764. Otherwise, choose the "Planning and Zoning" tab, then choose "Planning and Zoning" project type. Under application type, choose "Special Event Permit Application" then proceed with the questionnaire.

Retail Food Store Wine Sales

Retail food stores that derive at least 20% of sales from the retail sale of food and food ingredients and have floor space of at least 1,200 square feet, may apply to the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission for a Retail Food Store Wine license.
