Fleet Assistant, Part-time

SALARY: $12.00 an hour – part-time, approximately 29 hours a week
OPENING DATE: 10/23/2017
CLOSING DATE: will be open until job is filled

SUMMARY: Job duties will require proficiency in tire maintenance (changing, balancing repairs of passenger car, light and medium trucks and class 8 trucks).  This position will provide maintenance service of all vehicles (lubrication, oil and hydraulic oil changes, filters of all types, visual and safety inspection per requirements).  Performs minor repairs or assists in repairs on vehicles and/or equipment and performs interior and exterior cleaning of all types of vehicles occasionally.  There will be occasional driving to vendors to transport vehicles, employees and parts and moving vehicles in and out of garage.  Must maintains a clean work area daily. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Position requires high school diploma or GED and vocational training or years of experience in automotive repair or a closely related service field. Must have a valid TN driver’s license. Requires medium to heavy work involving exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a frequent basis, and exceptional dexterity and skill in operating machinery and tools.  Computer experiences preferred (through education or personal experience).  Must be able to follow directions.
