The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be performing resurfacing work on Interstate 40 in Sevierville and Sevier County beginning Sunday evening, May 4, 2025.

The Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled a loop hike of Finley Cane, Bote Mountain, Schoolhouse Gap, and Turkeypen Gap trails on Monday, May 19. This is an easy to moderate 9.5-mile hike with rolling elevation changes, Spring wildflowers, and some low water crossings.

Several areas of the Sevierville Community Center will be temporarily closed for ongoing renovation beginning Saturday, May 3, 2025. The Community Center will reopen fully on Friday, May 9 at 6:00 a.m.

A traffic advisory is being issued for a lane closure on Dolly Parton Parkway on Monday, May 5. The right westbound travel lane will be closed between Sevier County High School and Gondolier Italian Restaurant (964 Dolly Parton Parkway), from approximately 8:45 a.m.-9:45 a.m.

The City of Sevierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BMA) has scheduled a workshop on Monday, May 5, 2025. The workshop will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Sevierville Civic Center, 130 Gary Wade Boulevard, Sevierville, TN. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the FY 2026 Budget, and other items as needed.

Due to local elections, the Thursday, May 1, 2025, meetings of the City of Sevierville Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals have been rescheduled to Thursday, May 8, 2025. The meetings will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Sevierville Civic Center. Further information on this meeting can be obtained by calling Sevierville City Hall at 865-453-5504 during regular office hours, Monday through Friday.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. yesterday, April 23, 2025, Sevierville Police Department officers responded to Hilltop Child Development Center, 1217 Fox Meadows Boulevard in Sevierville, Tennessee in reference to a man reportedly brandishing a firearm in the parking lot and possibly carjacking a vehicle at gunpoint. When SPD officers arrived, they located the suspect in a Jeep parked near the front doors of the child development center. After a brief standoff, he was taken into custody.
