Police Respond To Active Shooter Call

Posted 12-23-20.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, December 23, Sevierville Police Department officers, along with officers and first responders from multiple agencies, responded to a reported active shooter at the Wal Mart store located at 1414 Parkway.

Upon arrival officers entered the store to search for suspects and help employees and customers exit the store. Officers located three suspects who were taken into custody. Their identities will be released as charges are filed later this evening.

It has been determined that no shots were fired and no one was injured during this incident. The preliminary investigation indicates that this was likely a dispute between store customers wherein multiple guns were displayed.
