Arrest Made in Grassy Meadows Lane Murder

Sevierville Police Department detectives have arrested and charged 40-year old Luis Mora of Sevierville, Tennessee with first degree murder in the death of 38-year old Gladys Gutierrez. Ms. Gutierrez was found deceased this morning at her home on Grassy Meadows Lane in Sevierville. Mr. Mora was reportedly her boyfriend.

Detectives developed information during their investigation this morning identifying Mr. Mora as a person of interest and issued a BOLO to area agencies. Based upon the BOLO and other intelligence, officers with the Knoxville Police Department located Mr. Mora in the Ray Mears Boulevard area and took him into custody. SPD officers transported Mr. Mora back to Sevierville for questioning and subsequent arrest.

SPD extends their appreciation to KPD for their assistance. The investigation is ongoing.
