Today’s Fire Danger in the Sevier County area is VERY HIGH (11/20/23).

The NWS has issued a RED FLAG Warning for the southern portion of Sevier County. Wind gusts throughout the evening today and into the overnight/early hours of Tuesday are the main concern right now. Wind gusts in the southern portion of the County and higher elevations could reach up to 60-80 mph.

Residents and visitors are asked to remain vigilant of their surroundings. Additionally, residents and visitors are encouraged to have situational awareness and be prepared to act in the event of an emergency. Rainfall is expected to arrive in the area around 4 AM on Tuesday, however, expected southeasterly winds could reduce the forecasted amount totals.


A BURN BAN remains in effect for Sevier County and the Cities of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Pittman Center.
