The Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (twelve members) and Executive Board (six members) are comprised of local business owners and community leaders. Each member is elected by the membership to serve a four-year term. Elections are held annually to elect four new Board members. The purpose of this committee is to advise City staff and the Planning Commission on certain matters within the HRO district. There are nine members who serve staggered four-year terms. Members are selected by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Meets as needed.
The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Foundation is to seek federal, state, municipal, public, and private support and leverages such support to supplement the efforts of the Parks & Recreation Department to maintain public spaces, encourage physical fitness, and provide programs for area youth. This foundation also works to strengthen and encourage those in the Sevierville community to work towards maximizing the use of public spaces and amenities.
It shall be the responsibility of the Board to study and investigate the services, facilities, and programs managed by the Parks and Recreation Department, for the purpose of advising the Board of Mayor and Aldermen as to desirable policies and plans.
