Ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for Children's Center April 21

A ribbon cutting ceremony has been scheduled for the completion of the new Children’s Center at the Sevierville Community Center. The ceremony will begin at 4:15 p.m. Monday, April 21, in front of the new Children’s Center, which is located behind the Community Center, 200 Gary Wade Boulevard. Parking is available at the Sevierville Police Department. After parking, follow the sidewalk between the Police Department and Community Center to access the ceremony location.

Sevierville officers receive FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award

Four City of Sevierville Police Department officers received the FBI-LEEDA (Law Enforcement Executive Development Association) Trilogy Award today, Friday, April 4, 2025. Lieutenant Robbie Ball, Sergeant Phillip West, Sergeant Kyle Hager, and Sergeant Caleb Brien attended the week-long Executive Leadership Institute class held at the Sevierville Police Department, to complete their Trilogy training. Also, Sergeant Julio Cruz completed the Executive Leadership Institute today, one of the three Trilogy classes.

BMA workshop scheduled on April 7

The Sevierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BMA) has scheduled a workshop on Monday, April 7, 2025. The workshop will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Sevierville Civic Center, 130 Gary Wade Boulevard, Sevierville, TN. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the FY2026 Budget, and other items as needed.

The display of the flag is not only welcomed — it’s celebrated here. The concern at hand is the height of a flagpole, which exceeds the City’s longstanding zoning regulations by nearly 200%.

SPD warns parents and caregivers about non-compliant, unsafe child car safety seats

The Sevierville Police Department is warning parents and caregivers about the presence of non-compliant and therefore unsafe child car safety seats. SPD officers have seen several car seats lately that do not meet federal standards. These non-compliant car seats have mostly been purchased online and parents are likely unaware that their car seat may be unsafe and non-compliant.
