TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Closure of Several Downtown Streets for Special Event

The City of Sevierville announces the temporary closure of several downtown streets on Sunday, May 24 between approximately 7:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The closures are necessary to facilitate the Smoky Mountain Thunder Memorial Motorcycle Ride. Due to the Streetscape project construction downtown, closures will likely last longer than past events.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the City at Sevierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen workshop scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 18 has been cancelled. The workshop will be re.scheduled for a later date.

Governor Lee Issues Executive Order 36

Residential Garbage Collection Time Change

Beginning Monday, May 18, 2020, Sevierville Public Works solid waste operations will be fully staffed, after having employees on a rotating furlough system over the past two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To continue social distancing in all workplaces while maintaining services, some employees will be starting work earlier than normal, which will result in earlier than normal residential garbage collection schedules.
