A traffic advisory is being issued for a section of Parkway beginning Thursday, March 20. The right northbound travel lane on Parkway, between Prince Street and Bruce Street, will be closed daily from 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. to allow for building demolition and removal near Bruce Street.

Due to recent rainfall and increased humidity levels, the burn ban implemented last week by Sevier County, the Cities of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and the Town of Pittman Center is lifted immediately (Monday, March 17).
With the lifting of the burn ban, recreational burning, including fire pits, campfires, and charcoal grills, is now permitted. For updates on burn permits, please visit www.burnsafetn.org or contact your local fire department.

Due to scheduled ADA sidewalk improvements within the dog park, the LARGE dog section of the dog park at Sevierville City Park will be closed beginning Monday, March 17. Weather and other conditions permitting, the anticipated reopening date is Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning, March 11, 2025, Sevierville Police Department officers responded to a reported crash on I-40 east at exit 407. Officers found a Toyota Tacoma and a semi tractor trailer hauling rock on the right shoulder.

The Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled a hike of Cucumber Gap Loop and Avent Cabin on Wednesday, March 19. This easy-to-moderate loop features Spring wildflowers, historical artifacts, and slight elevation changes. The small dog section of the Dog Park at Sevierville City Park will be closed all day on Monday, March 10. The closure is necessary due to water line work occurring in the area.
