Person Arrested on Statutory Rape Charge

The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year old Jennifer Paige Blanchard Tuesday evening, October 31, 2023 in Seymour, TN. Blanchard has been charged with statutory rape by an authority figure following an investigation by the Sevierville Police Department.

 

The charge stems from Blanchard’s time as a golf coach at Northview Academy in Kodak, TN. The victim, who is now an adult, alleges that as a juvenile student they were sexually assaulted in 2017.

SPD began an investigation in June 2023 after being informed of the allegation by the Sevier County School System. The investigation led to a sealed presentment that was issued on October 30, 2023.

The investigation is ongoing.
